In June, Russia increased size of reserves in US Treasury securities by $2.7 billion to $90.9 billion.  On a year-on-year basis, the growth amounted to $18.9 billion, according to the website of the US Treasury, Prime agency reports. Among the major holders of US government bonds, Russia now occupies 16th place (in the past month it has risen by one position in the list) leaving South Korea behind. At the same time Russia is following Saudi Arabia, which is the bond holder with $98.3 billion. At the same time Saudi Arabia has significantly reduced the volume of US bonds by almost $ 5.5 billion in the past month. China remains the largest holder of US government securities - its share has not reduced and amounts to $1.2 trillion.
