The service sector continues to occupy a major share of loan resources of banks. According, the volume of provided loans to non-productive sectors of the economy in the first half of 2016 grew 13% to 9 trillion tenge. The recovery of loan portfolio size occurred after weakening in 2015. In July 2015, the volume of loans provided to the non-manufacturing sector fell from 9.1 trillion tenge to 8 trillion tenge. But in the second half of the year, the size of portfolio began to recover.
