Number of non-cash payments in Kazakhstan increased by 64% in value terms and by 38% in the total volume of transactions. Figures of 2016 are higher than in 2015. According to the analytical portal ranking.kz, in the first half of the total volume of cashless payments in Kazakhstan amounted to 111.9 billion tenge. The largest share of non-cash payments accounts for POS-terminals and makes up about 60%. The number of POS-terminals grew by 37% compared to the same period of last year, indicating the increased popularity of this type of cashless payment. Almaty and Astana take leading positions in non-cash payments - 46.5% and 13.5% of cash transactions in the country.
