Kazakh banks have resumed massive lending of trade after stagnation in 2015. During January-May, loans were issued by 30% more than during the entire last year. At the end of May this year, the size of loans granted to commercial enterprises totaled 2.6 trillion tenge, or by 13% higher than it was a year earlier. Sector loan portfolio hit record 2.7 trillion tenge. The share of trade in total loan portfolio of banks increased over the year from 19% to 21%.
