Gold and currency gross reserves of Kazakhstan increased by 9.39% to $30.5 billion compared to the beginning of 2016, which $29.7 billion was a net international reserve. As a result, gold and currency reserves reached the highest level since June 2012 when they amounted to $32.3 billion and, exceeded last year’s rate by $1.6 billion. According to the National Bank, the National Fund assets showed moderate growth by 3.53% to $65.7 billion in the first half of 2016.
