European debt market breaks another record. The German government has placed bonds worth 4 billion euros at a negative rate. The bonds were sold at a yield of minus 0.05%. Thus, nearly 80% of all German bond traded in the market have either zero or negative profitability, that is, in theory, unprofitable for investors.
