The International Monetary Fund has improved the forecast for Russia's GDP dynamics for 2016 by 0.3 percentage points with an expected decline of 1.2%, the IMF said in a report on Russia's economic outlook. In May, the IMF predicted a decline in Russia’s GDP by 1.5% in 2016. Growth is expected to resume in 2017 and reach 1%. The IMF also confirmed its forecast for the medium term, according to which the Russian economy will grow annually by 1.5%.
