According to Energyprom.kz, the agricultural output in Kazakhstan in the first quarter accounted for 193 billion tenge. The physical volume index grew up by 2.9% that means a positive signal amid the current economic situation. By the end of the quarter, the share of agriculture reached 2.1% in the total GDP. In the 1st quarter of 2015, the share of agriculture in the national GDP was only 1.9%. The output growth in the agricultural sector has significantly outpaced last year’s growth. The first rate reached 4.1% year to year, while the second accounted for 1.2% year to year. The share of the sector in the GDP grew from 4.2% in 2014 to 4.7% in 2015 accordingly.
