The UK manufacturing PMI rose to 52.1 percentage points in June. That was the strongest reading since January and better than forecasts of analysts in a Reuters poll who expected the PMI at 49.9. The research organization Markit, however, warned that "almost entire" data from the manufacturers used in the survey were received prior to the Brexit referendum of June 23. "The big question is whether any negative impact from uncertainty can be partly offset by a boost to exports resulting from the fall in the pound," – experts say.
