The National Fund of Kazakhstan has invested more than 250 billion Tenge to support the non-primary sectors of the economy in 2015. As of the end of December 2015, the assets of the National Fund of Kazakhstan totaled $63.5 billion and gross international reserves amounted to $28.1 billion. Gross international reserves throughout 2015 remained at the same level. The most notable decrease was registered in April – a 1.3% decline compared to the previous month and a 2.6% drop in September. Gold reserves have increased from $7.4 billion to $7.58 billion over one year. At the same time, the amount of assets in foreign currency declined from $21.52 billion to $20.96 billion.
