An exhibition titled ‘At the Crossroads of Asia and Europe’ opened in the gallery of the National Arts Club in New York as part of celebration of Astana’s 20th anniversary. The masterpieces of the 20th century from the collection of the Kasteyev Museum of Arts were presented at the exhibition. The works of the leading artists of Kazakhstan will reveal the nomadic culture, history and lifestyle to the American audience. Every exhibit reflects the richness of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan and tells exciting stories about the people’s lives. Nikolay Khludov’s ‘A Boy on a Bull’, Olga Kuzhelenko’s ‘Portrait of People’s Artist of Kazakh SSR Roza Baglanova’, Maria Lizogub’s ‘a Folk Craftswoman’ and other works testify the great contribution of the artists who arrived in Kazakhstan from various regions of the former Soviet Union to the development of the Kazakh fine arts.
