The center, which is the EXPO 2017 heritage project, will be introduced on May 17 at the Green Economy: A New Model of Sustainable Growth panel session. The forum participants will discuss the Center’s operations as well as the main areas of environmental and innovative cooperation among the Asian and European countries and the growth of green movement in the region. Well-known experts, politicians, scientists and Nobel laureates are among the forum speakers. Leading green technology centers from South Korea, Japan and Denmark are also to be represented at the forum. The International Center for Green Technologies management will sign cooperation memorandums with the leaders of the Global Green Growth Institute, the International Renewable Energy Agency and the Climate Technology Center at the panel session.

SALTANAT RAKHIMBEKOVA, SPOKESPERSON, CENTER FOR GREEN TECHNOLOGIES AND INVESTMENT PROJECTS:

-The memorandum is primarily aimed at building a mutual platform for us to exchange knowledge, information and technologies. It is very important for us to transfer technologies. That’s why we need to learn what advanced technologies exist today and what technologies the inventors, innovators, institutes and countries are ready to provide us with and under which conditions.

The upcoming forum’s agenda includes such important topics as transition to energy-efficient housing and communal services, green finance, as well as new energy accumulating technologies. The organizers believe that the forum will contribute to attracting green investments in Kazakhstan, given that the International Center for Green Technologies, serving as a single window, will create favorable conditions for potential investors.

RUSLAN DALENOV, KAZAKH FIRST DEPUTY MINISTER OF NATIONAL ECONOMY:

 - The AEF a magnet that attracts foreign investors. This is a venue of leading international and Kazakh businessmen. The forum will gather the world's leading banks in Europe, Asia and America. Large investors and transnational companies are looking for way to invest their capital. The most successful moment in the forum would be presenting Kazakhstan’s opportunities.

SALTANAT RAKHIMBEKOVA, DEPUTY DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR GREEN TECHNOLOGIES AND INVESTMENT PROJECTS

 - By 2050, 50% of the energy balance has to be supplied from renewables. This means that first of all, attracting foreign investments is the main focus.

The AEF is an authoritative dialogue platform for discussing topics and problems of mankind. The exchange of opinions and recent research and practical achievements will allow developing effective solutions in the green energy.
