Aliya Moldagulova’s heroic deed

In July 1943, a group of female snipers arrived at the Second Baltic Front. Corporal Aliya Moldagulova, short and thin girl, was among them and nobody could think that she would be a Hero of the Soviet Union.

It is Almaty at modern time. Laila Akhmetova is an Academic and Professor of Kazakh National University, who dedicated a part of her life to studying history of women fighting in the Second World War. Laila Seisenbekovna thinks that Aliya Moldagulova is a special personality, whose feat showed how much she loved her country. Despite all the difficulties and hardships of war, the fragile girl managed to prove that she was a well-trained soldier. Heroes like Aliya Moldagulova set an example of courage and heroism to the modern generation.
