Kazakhstan strengthens international scientific cooperation

The intellectual and scientific-research capacity of the Kazakh scientists is highly appreciated abroad. Therefore, foreigners seek to work with domestic professors and doctors. For example, the Agro-Technical University of Uralsk agreed to cooperate with the Chinese Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University. Chinese scientists, in turn, are interested in projects for growing sturgeon and increasing the saiga antelope’s population. The Chinese university intends to provide grants for the Kazakh students’ education.

NURLAN SERGALIEV, RECTOR, WEST KAZAKHSTAN AGRARIAN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY:

The cooperation includes exchange of academic, educational experience, joint internships, and, of course, joint research projects. They have shown an interest in agriculture, it is very important for us.

YU-JIN, DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AND EXCHANGE:

Last year, the delegation of the West Kazakhstan University visited China. Our goal is to strengthen cooperation within the new initiative “Silk Road Economic Belt” to exchange experience in implementation of scientific innovations.
