One new University and 12 colleges appeared this year in Kazakhstan. In 2015-2016 academic year 127 institutions of higher education worked, 5 of them are national universities, 19 institutes, 20 academies and 83 universities. Two third of 77 institutions are privately owned, 50 more are state universities. Also, there are 5 branches of foreign institutions of higher education.
